I have fallen in love with this fantastic campaign for Mulberry’s A/W collection. The enchanted forest and shying furry monsters just add to the whole charm of what autumn might bring. What a fantastic way to welcome us into the season which tends to make people long for sunshine and sand, now all we want is a designer handbag and a giant enchanted furball. Job welldone Mulberry!
London Fashion weekend is a fashion bloggers dream. With everyone dressing to impress and rooms filled with designer clothing and fantastic discount rates… what more could you ask for… Well, I can tell you there is more! A catwalk show featuring one of our favourite designers, Holly Fulton, displaying some beautiful prints and colours for SS12. The catwalk was presented by Zoe Hardman, featuring tips from Toni and Guy on the latest hair styles and Elizabeth Arden with the new lipstick colours for Spring. A special interview took place on the catwalk with Hilary Alexander, discussing her favourite parts of London Fashion Week, particularly mentioning Stella McCartney’s show which featured Alexa Chung being hypnotized and levitating above razor sharp swords. Hilary exclaims it’s no longer just about the fashion, but about performance art, and really giving guests a great show. What a great way to really let people remember your collection, giving guests that little bit more. This was made clear with a number of designers who put on a performance. (I will leave that for another post). Back to LFWend, Somerset House was the perfect location to hold this grand event, hours passed without noticing, with so much to see, this was definitely a weekend to remember!
What more do you need for a fashion weekend, macbook, Kurt Geiger Shoes and ELLE magazine.
While many of us have been working hard at our jobs and spending our lunch breaks scouring the internet for our next ‘must have’ item, all the excitement of New York Fashion week has been taking place across the pond. One of the lines people were most excited to see is that of Victoria Beckhams, Victoria. Her A/W collection was filled with collars and narrow skirts with panelling, featuring a narrow line, with most pieces around knee length.
The British designer Jenny Packham, wowed her audience with the most amazing gowns, which looked like they had just stepped out of a black and white film from the 1940’s. This collection is simply Glamorous .
Another collection to inspire for A/W is that of Rebecca Minkoff, this collection is fun and ready to wear.
